HostSys provides free 30-day rolling backups for hosted websites, helping customers recover from accidental changes, failed updates, data loss, or website issues.
30-Day Rolling Website Backups
Our rolling backups provide access to available backup points from the previous 30 days and include:
- Website files
- Website databases
Automated Website Backup Snapshots
HostSys uses automated snapshots to create backup points for supported hosting services. Backup snapshots are stored on separate, secure remote servers, providing separation from the primary hosting environment.
Easy Website Restore
Restore your hosting data in just a few clicks directly from your hosting control panel.
Depending on the available backup and your hosting configuration, you can:
- Recover a deleted hosting package
- Restore website files
- Restore a specific database
- Restore your website to an available previous backup point
This provides a straightforward way to recover from accidental deletion, failed updates, configuration changes, or other website issues.
30-Day Backup Retention
Backups are maintained on a 30-day rolling basis. As new backup points are created, older backup points beyond the 30-day retention period are automatically removed.
Hosting Backup Usage
HostSys hosting packages are intended for hosting websites and associated applications and must not be used solely as an offsite backup service for files or data hosted externally.
Backups provided by HostSys are intended to support the recovery of websites hosted with HostSys.
What Is Included in HostSys Backups?
The backup service covers website files and databases hosted with HostSys. Data or services outside the supported hosting environment may not be included.
Customer Backup Responsibilities
Customers remain responsible for maintaining independent copies of critical business data where appropriate and for ensuring that their website and application data is suitable for their operational and regulatory requirements.
Customers should also verify their website and application following a restoration.
Backup Availability and Limitations
HostSys takes reasonable steps to maintain the backup service. However, backup availability and restoration may be affected by circumstances outside HostSys’s reasonable control.
